Educational Sales Representative

 

Job Description

• Must be able to meet an aggressive sales target and perform in a highly competitive, fast-paced industry
• Generate new school and district leads and develop relationships through meetings, introductions, drop-bys, referrals, cold calls etc.
• Utilize existing relationships to generate additional sales from existing customers
• Support the implementation of educational transformation programs at clients including account management, training sessions progress reports, among other activities
• Attend conferences and other marketing events to expand network of K12 school relationships and tertiary educational institutions

The ideal candidates should excel in consultative selling, and have the ability to build new relationships, and manage a large territory while driving the sales process forward. Candidates must thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, and have the ability to build an account base from the ground up and engage with new and existing schools to provide solutions that meet their needs. We seek dynamic individuals who are passionate about sales, results-driven and forward-thinking problem solvers with a proactive work ethic whose goal is to make a positive change in the quality of education in urban districts as it relates to technology

Requirements for Candidacy

• 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in the educational software/hardware industry
• Hands on experience working with schools and tertiary education organizations to implement technology curriculum in the classroom
• A passion for improving the quality of technology-focused education at urban districts in the Canada and United States
• Experience working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting
• Demonstrated knowledge of sales CRM applications
• Ability to deliver effective and dynamic presentations to administrators and educators
• Excellent organization and time management skills with attention to detail
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
