    Tinkerine Face Shield V2

Based off the feedback we got from some of the nurses and doctors we've been talking to we added a few additional feature. Small changes. But It's significantly more comfortable to wear for long duration of time.

    Testing

I decided to walk around with this on my face the whole day testing for comfort. Needless to say, it does leave a mark on your forehead after a while. Adding the soft side of velcro strips makes it significantly more comfortable if EVA foam isnt available. It's also easy to find.

The idea is to get this to the nurses and doctors for feedback.

    Redesigned element.

Added slots in the frame to allow for clear top shield to be added in the space between the front shield and forehead.

Turned the design upside down, after wearing V1 around for 4 hours, I realized that its alot more comfortable to wear it upside down.

Extended the shield to cover pass the eyes.

Extended the elastic clips back further behind the head.

The clear shield took 15 seconds to cut on out 60W laser cutter. Material is PET/PETG at 0.5mm

    FILES:

*(Shield DWG/DXF to be uploaded shortly)

Other notes: The design holds up, its light and quick to make. I believe it'd be really hard to get it to print faster than it is now. Even at the current design, it is slightly wobbly if you decide to shake your head with it on.

    Hi Eugene,

Take a look at this, it may give some ideas for further improvement. I am checking with my nurse friend and as well with KPU if I can have access to our machines for production, we also have two laser cutters. School so far is closed for students, I may have access.

    Hey Vic,

I've got a new design done up, V3 and V4. both are based off a new design concept. The fit, and coverage are both significantly better. I'll also post up a laser cut file for the PETG shield as well. Give it a go and test it. Post a photo of it in use if you can.
