    Miniature Orchid Pots
The world of miniature/ dwarf orchids are pretty amazing. The come in quite a bit of different species with ranging fragrances, the one we are going to design for today are the Neofinetia Falcata, the Japanese orchid. Most orchids require a slightly different medium to grow in, they don't use soil and most of the time, require watering only when their roots have been dried slightly. Over-watering these plants would simply cause it to slowly deteriorate. I wont get into too much detail about the orchids themselves but instead provide this Neo.Falcata Orchid care sheet I found online.

    Design Choices
    - Extra ventilation slots for even drying of the growing medium
    - Follows the traditional Neo. Falcata pot design (traditional japanese pot design)
    - Put emphasis onto the orchid
    - The right size for the plant

    3D Design Approach
    - Revolve tool
    - Extrude cut tool

Step by step tutorial for Onshape

    3D Printing
Make sure to flip the design over, legs facing up inside Tinkerine Suite to print without needing support

    Areas to Explore
Customization of the side wall for ventilation,
Size adjustment on the pots diameter
    Feet design
Shape of the actual pot portion
