*UPDATED Tinkerine Face Shield V9.4

After deploying Tinkerine face shield V8 we wanted to move the scale up..way up. The assembly was the longest part of everything. We needed a way to quickly have the doctors assemble the product but also for us to produce it. The key was still full coverage. It couldnt be anything less for what we were aiming at.

The end result? V9.4. We took inspiration from The group of YVR Makers for Emergency Response. Edmond Khan, Dylan Gunn built a version that used foam to hold the shape.

Notes from V8 to V9.3

- The quick assembly for healthcare workers (roughly 5 seconds) is important.

- The comfort is important

- Full coverage is KEY and critical to prevent droplet contact

- Sanitation became an important element of the design.

- Supply of PETG is an issue.

- Medical Device Class 1 is important for healthcare (We are looking into this)

V9.3 Changes.

- No longer is there a printed frame (~1hr) instead printed clips and lower bracket (~7mins per set)

- Lower bracket ~10mins

- Foam is now 1.5" thick for a wedge fit and can be removed and replaced to allow for sanitation the shield

- Total production time is now reduced significantly allowing for increased capacity.

-Assembly take is roughly 10-20 seconds.

V9.4 Changes.

- Side clips to have stronger hold on the shield visor to prevent visor from coming undone

- Reversed and extended the hook mechanism to better hold the band to eliminate the accidental release of the elastic
