We know that face masks are important in current times and we've been looking at how to approach masks to allow for better facial reading and reusability. This face mask would be deemed non-medical and would provide a covering, doesn't filter out particulates like N95s. What it does is provide some form of protection while you go about your everyday.
We think face shields are great, it's a necessary part of everyday right now. But it's going to be hard to normalize wearing a large plastic cover for the general public. Masks on the other hand are much easier and to a certain degree we've already seen people do it everywhere across the globe. We are humans after all and we base a lot of our interactions off facial expressions, masks cover a significant amount of our face.
The idea was to make something quick to deploy, provide the protection and get the ball rolling. The more masks the better in current times. We'll evolve this over time.
